A packed house. The very attentive audience of dealers listens to
John Graven of Telephony Concepts on the newest information on VoIP,
VoHV, and telecommunications changes that are here or coming fast.

John Graven was dynamic and informative on the coming storm of
change that will impact alarm dealers.

Dealers listened and tried to sort out some of the complexities
of the issues.

John Tedesco, President of Guardian Mobile Monitoring, clearly
laid out the opportunities and applications of the ARC TrackNet
Mobile Monitoring System, powered by Guardian using the Global
Positioning System (GPS).

Guardian demonstrates the ARC TrackNet system by showing a live
tracking of a truck on the internet map.

ARC wins Guardian Mobile Monitoring's
"GPS Supplier of the Year" Award. Accepting the award is Jim
Osborne, with the experienced ARC Security Operators who are
responsible for GPS at ARC - Diana Robertson (left) and Donald A.
Calderwood (right).

A good time for many discussions.

Don Calderwood, Hawkeye Services, talks about how and why a small
or large alarm dealer can effectively use a web site, with Scott
O'Brien of Residential Security, Inc.

The unstoppable George Brown of DSC helped sort out the
applications of OzVision, and with application and use of internet
modules for applications.

Scott MacDougal of Cornerstone begins to put on hat after hat,
symbolizing the number of hats dealers must wear (purchasing agent,
installer, system designer, accountant, etc.), and suggests that
taking off several hats helps. Cornerstone provides Secure Billing
Services for dealers, and serves a growing number of ARC dealers
(ARC Endorsed Provider).

Many "hats" that the alarm dealer must wear, and the head gets heavy (see photo caption above).

Don Calderwood of Hawkeye Services covers the many opportunities
available for dealers to communicate with subscribers and prospects,
why to do so, and in launching a new product or service by a
security company.

Getting up to speed on the issues, those in the audience were all
ears.

Diana Robertson, veteran ARC security operator, talks with Dave
DeBraccio (center), Victory Security Group, and Frank Damiano of
Audio Alarm Systems of Youngstown, Ohio.

Rather rapt attention, speaker after speaker. Here dealers listen
as David Sheer of SR Marketing brings them up to speed with the
capabilities of Dedicated Micro's products.

Dealers quickly exited when the fire alarm sounded, ending the
presentation of John Tedesco of Guardian presenting the Guardian
"GPS Supplier of the Year Award" to ARC.

Dealers and all attendees enjoyed the luncheon...

and sitting and talking with one another, a good opportunity to
share war stories, methods, solutions...

and it was a good chance to talk one on one with vendors...

Rich Blaha (left, facing) and Candace O'Connor, President of The
Security Source, Inc., security distributors serving the 5 state
area, talk with dealers about products and applications.

Dealers, speakers, and vendors at lunch in front of the Ohio
Burglar & Fire Alarm Association exhibit booth. Darrel Shaw, Jr.,
OBFAA President, and Bev Bailey, Exec. Manager, represented
the OBFAA at the meeting.

Doug Vernon (left), a dealer and President of the Kentucky Burglar &
Fire Alarm Association, talks with Don Calderwood, Hawkeye Services,
about the the latest happenings with the state and national alarm
associations.

Jim and Carrie Osborne of ARC talk with Dick Kutschbach of
Chillicothe Fire and Security.

Doug Brosch looks at CCTV devices and talks with Chuck
Strejnowski of Charles & Associates. Tricia Sommers (back) of Alarm
Central of Michigan looks at literature from Hawkeye Services.
